Does your practice offer dentures to help stabalise implants?

Q. Good day Dr Moore, does you practice have any speciality in implant dentures. I have had my dentures for 4 years and they have never felt right. Money has seen me do nothing about it even though it makes my life a misery. Thanfully, times have changed and I think I can afford what is necessary treatment for me. So, if you would be so kind could you please give me some information regarding my enquiry? Best wishes Dr Moore.
A. Hello, I’m sure we will be able to help you. We can place implants to either stabilise the dentures or sometimes keep them fixed in place. Please feel free to e-mail me on implants@advancedentalclinic.com and we can arrange a consultation so that you can decide the best option for you.

Unhappy with dental plate but what can be done?

Q. Hi I have 7 implants at the top of my mouth. At the moment we are only useing two of them, but unfortunately i am unhappy with the plate I feel that they are not right on one side and they make me look funny, also they tend to ache a lot is this normal. When i had them done i thought my sinus had been damaged as my nose kept running, this has subsided but still taking nurofen plus quite a lot for dull aches etc. Unfortunately i do smoke but do my best to cut down and to keep my hygene up to scratch.
A. Hi

i would recommend you voice your concerns to the dentist who has placed the implants and see what is causing your symptoms.

Is there a way to help hader bar stay attached?

Q. I have a hader bar for my lower denture. It is attached to 3 teeth that were cut off at the gum. There was a hole drilled in each tooth and then a post attached to the hader bar would fit into those holes. The first one I had lasted over 25 years until I was in a car wreck. My denture broke and the new Dts. replaced the old bar when making the new dentures. I have had the new dentures almost 3 years. They have broken once and the bar has now come completely out. A Dts. cemented it back in the other day but it had come back out before I got home. The teeth are in great shape. Any suggestions. I just paid 7000.00 for the last set of dentures and the bar. I have no insurance and no money left to have implants. Is there something that can help this hader bar stay attached? I am using yellow clips and they were replaced two months ago.
A. I don’t really know without seeing you. I guess the foundations have gone so implants sound like your only option

Do I need an implant for missing tooth or will a crown suffice?

Q. Hello Dr Bohara, I only have one tooth missing and I need to decide on what treatment to get. I think maybe just getting a crown on its own would suffice, but would I need to get an implant and then get a crown. I don’t see why seen as there is only one tooth missing.
A. A crown cements or screws into the implant (which acts like a root).
