Q. Are there any risks involved in the dental implant procedure? The thought of having a screw drilled down into my jaw bone is not all that appealling and I was wondering if there could be any complications to this?
A. hi many thanks for your email, the main risks of dental implants are outlined below:
1: implant failure
2: nerve damage if the implant is being placed in the lower jaw.
the risk of failure is very low 8% in the top jaw and 5% in the lower jaw.
hope this is helpful.
