Because of my receeding gums my dentist says he cannot do anything for me, what should I do?

Q. Your Question most of my gums have receded. Got tooth loss and teeth are wobbly, what are left. Is there any help for me at all.. Ruining my life.. Dentist said he cant help because any future work will not be permanent. And be back to square one. But i dont want dentures. Please help its ruining my life. Thankyou,
