Can I have a healthy tooth removed and replaced with a dental implant?

Q. Hi, I have a tooth not the front teeth or the two next to them, the one after that which has not fully come down into place. I have looked into getting a six month brace however the cost and timescale is off-putting as it would take 9-10 months, the tooth in question I not only want out for cosmetic reasons but I am increasingly getting ulcers through it rubbing on my gum. Would it be possible for a tooth implant, as I know, a dentist will never remove a healthy tooth (which it is). Also if I went to a dentist and explained the situation, which will be me, extracting the tooth myself could I sign a waiver and have the tooth removed and an implant put it? Lastly could you give me an estimated price? Thanks for any help.,
A. If the tooth is healthy its better to move it into position with a brace, however if this is not acceptable then an implant might work, the problem I foresee will be the amount of bone available for an implant and the final aesthetic result perhaps not being as good as you\’d like. You need to budget around £2500-3000 to include possible grafting after the extraction.
