Dear Dr Moore. I have been recently told by my dentist that I need to have Zygomatic implants because my bones are too week for titanium implants. Can you please tell me what this would normally cost as I have been told that it would be around £25000. As you can appreciate this is a lot of money and I need to be sure. Hello Dr Moore. I have had a full top denture since the age of 17, I am now 53 and my dentist has tried her best to make me a new denture that will fit comfortably without movement. Unfortunately she said this is the last try and it still hasn’t worked. I get very depressed because of this and it makes me feel very conscious when eating out. If I sneeze or cough they just fly out causing much embarrassment unless I stick them in with horrible fixative. My dentist has told me I need dental implants but they are very expensive, I am disabled and I can’t afford the treatment. Is there any help I can get from the NHS towards the cost of the treatment I am desperate?

Hi Dr Moore. I have a full upper set of false teeth and only a few teeth remaining on the bottom and I was wondering if I could get just a few implants or crowns in order to help me return to wearing just a partial denture at the top like I had previously before getting all my teeth at the top removed? I’m getting so depressed through it that I can’t even leave the house and I find it hard to talk properly, I have saved up a couple of thousand pounds and was wondering if there was anyway to help relieve me of wearing a full set of dentures? Could I have a few crowns or implants fitted that could then support a partial plate with the other teeth as I really regret having all my top teeth pulled out as I’m now lacking self confidence and I feel helpless, any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hi, I was wondering if you would be willing to offer me some advice? I have recently have had my tooth extracted as there was crack and severe infection in the gums which the Dentist has cleared. In trying to clear the infection from the gums, he had to “dig” into the gums and this has created a deep hole. He has asked me to wait for three months to heal. After that he will talk with me the options of replacement. He is suggesting a dental implant. I am not sure, because by taking out the infected gum, this has left a deep cut. Please advise.
What qualifications should I look out for in a dentist who would do dental implants? I don’t know where to start! Many thanks.

Hi Dr Fahey! My teeth are absolutely knackered. Some are cracked quite badly and one has fallen out. I know that his sounds quite bad and truthfully it is, the state of my mouth makes me feel terrible in my day to day life. So basically I was wondering, what sort of work might I need before having implants in order to prepare my mouth for them? Would I need extensive amounts of work done? My mouth is a mess with 4-5 broken teeth and old fillings its embarrassing and a real confidence knock I wish I hadn’t left things so long I just want to know what my best options are how long treatment would take and at what cost after a messy divorce and bankruptcy I find my self in a better position and wanting to fix my embarrassment please help

I have lost most of my teeth through gum disease and from drinking heavy metal water in Mongolia. My gums now healthy
Is there a limit to the amount of teeth that can be implanted? I need 10 or more. I have upper and lower plates at moment and these are ok but not wonderful and I could maybe do without upper if I get 5-5 teeth impants
My main concerns are the costs and the longevity of the implants and the time that I will need to heal the implants
Any information on the costs and the medical aspects would be welcomed

I have had both of my upper canines missing for several years (due to a genetic trait that prevented the secondary ones from growing in as a child), and I’m considering implants. What are the pricing options as well as the length of time it would take to perform? Would it be possible to perform both implants at once, or will I have to get one side fixed before the other? Also, since the canines are the ones that are missing, will I be able to get the implants in the same shape as a canine? Dear Doctor, I have had a pre-molar extracted from the right side of my mouth after having root canal treatment which couldn’t save the tooth as it had decayed too much. I now have a gap within my mouth. What ar emy options going forward? I’ve read up about dental implants but don’t know what the cost of having a dental implant for just one tooth would be?
