Am I too old for dental implants?

I know there is an age limit for getting implants for children as they are still developing, but is there such a limit for older citizens like my self, at the ‘young’ age of 60. My teeth are in desperate need of a new lease of life.

Please tell me that a very powerful type of anaesthesia is used for the dental implant procedure. I really want to get my teeth sorted but am very scared of minor treatment at the dentist never mind something so intrusive as this. Can I be put to sleep. I don’t want to be aware of what is going on one bit!
