What factors will affect the cost of a dental implant?

Q. How much would you say a dsingle dental implants will cost? Also, can you tell me what factors will the affect the price? I guess cheap is not worth it when it comes to this kind of treatment.
A. hi many thanks for your email, the average cost of a dental implant can range from £2000 – £4000. the reasons for a difference in the cost would be:

experiance of the dentist performing the treatment
type of implant being used
type of final crown
if a graft is needed
if a temporary tooth is needed.

Is there any insurance that will cover dental implants?

Q. I am about to have a tooth extracted..eek, and have only just been made aware that my dental insurance,I am with denplan, will not cover or contribute to the cost of an implant. Are you aware of any insurance companies that cover this ? I took insurance to try to get ensure that I could get the best dental treatment and now it looks as though I am going to have to have a bridge which is less suitable and which sounds horrendous. Also, I have been told an implant would cost around £2,500 and a bridge around £1800 does that sound right ….? Thanks for your input -I really would appreciate your feedback/comments. Take care.
A. hi michelle, there are many insurances which do help with the cost of implant treatment, bupa and standard life are a few however your monthly premium is higher. the costs of the bridge and implant treatment do seem to be around average. hope this is helpful.

Dental implant for gap where no permanent tooth came through?

Q. When one of baby teeth fell out no permanent tooth came through to close the gap. Now the gap has closed somewhat and I am 17 but really wanto to fill the gap that is ruining my smile. Would dental implants be a good way to go? I think I may need to get braces or something to widen the gap a bit – can this be done?
A. hi many thanks for your email, it may be necessary to get a brace to create enough room to have an implant placed. my advice would be to go to a cosmetic dentist which offers both orthodontic treatment and implant treatment.
