Is it normal to experience swelling after receiving dental implants?

Q. i had some dental implants put in last week ready for new teeth on my bottom jaw. i\’m suffering from severe pain from them at the moment and the areas seem badly swollen when i had them done. is this normal? thanks for the help.,
A. It is quite normal to experiance discomfort and swelling after implant placement for up to about a week, after a week it should be starting to improve getting better each day. I would contact the surgeon who placed the implants and get him to take a look just to rule out any infection.

If I had my tooth removed could I have it replaced with a dental implant?

Q. Hello, I have a tooth that is crowned but my dentist told me the tooth is infected (because my dental crown kept falling out) if he was to remove the tooth could I have a dental implant? I\’d like it to match the rest of my teeth though. Thank you,
A. you should be able to have one from the sound of it

What is your experience like with full mouth implant procedures?

Q. Hi I\’ve had my dentures replaced recently and decided I hate them. They stick out and look very false and they cost me a lot of money! I am considering dental implants but I need a full set placing in. Would you recommend a full set of dental implants or are the risks of failure too high in your opinion? What are your experiences with full mouth dental implants?,
A. very good, we do many cases each year and the patients are universally happy

My dental implants failed, what should I do now?

Is there anyway I can receive the plate and the tooth in one sitting?

Q. when you have the plate put in to hold the new tooth how long does it take to have the actual tooth put on because they don\’t do both all at once do they? is there anyway they could do it all in one sitting? thank you,
A. I presume you mean when you have an implant how long before the final restoration can be fitted. Usually its 3 to 4 months before the final crown is fitted. In some cases it can all be done on the same day it depends on the bone so i couldn\’

Should I have dental implants when I’m just about to have a sinus lift?

A. The up to date research is to use bovine bone for sinis lifts (this is bone from animal) and not human bone. The only reason for having a sinus lift is to have dental Impalnts placed. I am happy to see you for a consultation and give you my opinion.

A. For a single tooth implant the cost is £2100.00 this is for everything the only extra charge would be if you needed a bone graf
