Dentist says root has fractured. Can you recommend correct procedure?

Q. My son is nearly 14 and had a porcelain tooth built on a rod following root canal surgery (front bottom tooth). Today it came away and the dentist says it is the root that has fractured and that it now must come out. Can you recommend what we should do next please,
A. hi many thanks for your email, ok well your son will need to have the root extracted, i would then recommend a maryland bridge which is a bridge that does not require the adjacent teeth to be prepared and will give your son a permanent option for a tooth. he will then need to wait till about 18-20 till he can then think about a more permanent treatment of a dental implant.
