Have I had dentures for too long to be able to get implants?

Q. I was unlucky enough to think I was going under anesthetic to have loads of fillings when I was fifteen. To my horror my parents had been convinced that I needed all my upper teeth removed, which is what I woke to find had happened. so I have had a full denture since then and am now 50! still have a terrible fear of dentists and have not seen one for twenty years through shame as well as fear. have I been with dentures for too long to be able to have implants? or at least implants to secure a better denture? HELP!!!!!!,
A. The time span is important but everyone is different and you might still have the bone for fixed teeth or to place implants to stabilise an upper denture and perhaps reduce the coverage of the roof of the mouth. If you’d like me to take a look I’d be very glad to try to restore your faith in dentists 08443 87 87 88
