Hi Dr Bohara. Could You Tell Me Whether It’s Possible To Replace My Loose Implant With The Same Implant?

Q.
Hi Dr Bohara. Could you tell me whether it’s possible to replace the loose implant with the same implant? It’s early implant failure (1 month) and radiograph shows adequate bone level but only the implant tip is within the bone. I think it is due to inadequate drilling depth and continuous occlusal bite. So I’m in doubt whether I can replace it with the same implant after making it to the desired depth. Please give me a good solution for this problem. Thank you, Dr Kalpesh.

Hello. Thank you for getting in touch. Unfortunately, It is very difficult to answer question without looking at your X-rays and examining your mouth. If you have an implant which is loose then there is every chance this may have to be taken out and replaced with a new one. I would talk to the dentist who did your first implant, did you have any guarantee in place? I hoped this helps you with this problem. Best of luck, Dr Kalpesh Bohara.
