How long after abutment is attached will I be able to get crown. Will temporary denture still fit?

Q. I lost a front tooth approximately 6 months ago. I have opted for the implant surgery and it has gone relatively well. I am at the stage of getting the abundment screwed onto the rod. My question is, is it only approximately 7 days for the wound to heal enough to to put a crown onto the abundment? and also I have a temporary denture for the tooth missing which I am using to hide the fact I am missing a front tooth, will this be able to still be worn once the abundment is put in place?,
A. Once the abutment is fitted your denture will no longer fit. Your dentist should provide you with a temporary crown untill the permanent crown is ready.
