How long after implant treatment can I resume exercise regime?

Q. I am thinking of a front tooth implant. Could you tell me on a scale of 1 – 10 how painful this will be after the procedure and for how long It will hurt, how long it will take to heal and how long after the procedure `i should wait before resuming an exercise regime. Thankyou for any advice you can give. Best rega rds ,
A. If it is a simple implant then it should be about 2-3/ 10 after the procedure and decrease over the next 72 hrs. After this time you could resume light exercising. Many of our patients get by with only a couple of pain killers even although this is not the regime we recommend. Treatment can take as short as 6 – 12 weeks, if you are straight forward. Hope this helps… Nick
