How long does dental implant last?
Q. How long does the dental implant procedure typically last? I am in need to two dental implants so I guess that must have some bearing on how long it will last? Could you also tell me how long it will take for the sedation to wear off after the procedure? Will the sedation just be around the mouth meaining numb lips and stuff?
A. it depends on how difficult your specific set of circumstances is. an average case for 2 implants with a medium amount of simultaneous grafting is about 2 hrs usually. It depends on what sedation you are given, but I wonder if you are confusing sedation with local anaesthetic when you are talking about numb lips.
