How Soon After Implant Surgery Can I Eat Solid Foods?

Q.
Hello there, my question relates to aftercare following implant surgery. I’m due to have my implant fitted 3 weeks from now, and I’d just like to know how long will it be until I can eat solid foods after treatment. I’m the Managing Director of a marketing company and have a lot of lunch meetings scheduled after my surgery so I need to be able to eat properly as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for your response.

Hi, thank you for getting in touch. I would advise being extremely careful in the few days following the surgery, and avoid biting into hard foods for around 4-6 weeks. If you speak to your implantologist about your concern, he or she will probably be able to help you and offer some suggestions about what kind of foods you’ll be able to eat. Hope this has been helpful!
