I am getting a dull ache from the gum area around my implant but there is no inflammation. Should I see my dentist?

Q. Hi. I had an upper lateral incisor replaced by an immediate implant a year ago, and up until now have had absolutely no problems with it. However, I have recently noticed that the area above the implant is sore – by this, I mean when I apply makeup, or facial cream, I notice slight discomfort over the area, like it is bruised. I then noticed that if I there was any slight pressure on the gum above the implant, it would bleed down around the tooth. I have no other areas of gum bleeding and am very careful with my gum care (flossing, interdental brushes etc.) I also use a water pik, and have noticed it is very sore when it washes around the implant. However, the gum does not look inflamed, and the implant is still rock solid. I am now aware of a dull ache occasionally. Do I need to go back to see my implant dentist? Thank you.,
A. Yes, go back there could be a minor problem with the implant that will need sorting out
