I am not happy with my dental implants, but my dentist won’t listen, what can I do?

Q.
Hello. I am hoping for some advice from a dental expertise in implants. I have spent a lot of money on having my whole mouth made over including three front implants. I now am not satisfied with the outcome, as my gums seem to have changed and my teeth look very long, and the position has changed in my mouth and different from the old look. I feel and wish my dental doctor had explained how gums could change or shrink and showed me the teeth before she put them into my mouth finally. I am very unhappy with the color and with the placement. My dentist thinks they look good so she thinks I should be happy. What should do. many thanks
A.
Thanks for your question.
I’m sorry that you are unhappy with the finished outcome of your treatment.
My advice would be to discuss your concerns with your dentist – but you have already done this.
You could try talking to the dentist again or perhaps ask if there is another dentist in the practice that you can talk to.
Alternatively you could go to another dentist for another opinion, but this is difficult as any new dentist is not going to know exactly how things were before treatment began.
If you don’t feel you’re getting anywhere talking to your dentist then may wish to detail your points in writing.

I hope that this helps.
