I suffer from type 1 diabetes but would like implants, is this possible?

Q. Hello,
I have type 1 diabetes and I am finding eating increasingly difficult. I am currently unemployed and am NHS registered. I have 18 teeth left I have read so much about implants and it looks like they would be the best way forward but there is now way I would be able to afford this treatment. What can I do? In my situation would I be able to get this treatment on the NHS? Please help. Many Thanks.,
A. Hello there, sorry to hear about your situation,
I’m afraid you won’t get dental implants on the NHS. Also your diabetes has to be very well controlled and your oral hygiene immaculate or you may get tooth and implant infections.
