I want implants but suffer from seizures and am worried that they will affect the procedures and the new teeth.

Q. hello, i really need a new set of teeth and like the sound of implants rather than full dentures which would come loose. The problem is that i suffer from seizures especially both awake and asleep and worry that i may both have one during the procedure and ruin my new teeth if i clash them together when i am having a seizure, what advice could you give? many thanks doctor

A. Hello
Your best option would be intra venous sedation which often works well to help with the seizures during a long procedure such as placing dental implants. However you could damage the new teeth if you have a seizure at some point. The same is true for dentures so implants should still be a better option.
Hope has been helpful
