My gums are receding. Can you tell me if I can get dentures or are there any other options?

Q. hello could you please tell me if there are any options open to me ,i am 55years old i wear dentures my lower gum has totally receeded and my upper gum is going the same way i have always had sensitive teeth my gums used to bleed but i was never told i had gum desease its only since being on the internet i realised it was my gums that was the problem to late if my upper gum receedes does that mean i wont be able to wear a denture is there any options open to me any information would be gratefully received as i am worried sick about how this will affect me long term,
