Six upper and four lower dental implants, but worried they will fail?

Q. Hi, I have had 6 implants in my top jaw and 4 on the bottom, the top 2yrs ago and bottom 12 months ago. I had suffered with gum disease since my early teens. Whilst I think the surgery etc was successful I have a number of problems. I have had one infection at the top treated, but the pain has since come back. I now have similar discomfort in and around a implant in the bottom of my mouth. This is my daily/weekly dental hygiene. 1. Philips sonic toothbrush 3 x times daily. 2. Interdent brushes used daily. 3. Corsodyl daily defence used twice daily. 4. Dental floss used every other day in the evening. 5. Soft brush with corsodyl gel used around each implant – weekly. The cost was in excess of £30k. I am now paranoid that all of my implants are about to fail??? I would appreciate your opinion. Many thanks.
A. I would really need to see you, to offer any sort of valid opinion. Alternatively go back to your dentist who placed the implants and ask him to x-ray the bone to check if everything is ok. With treatment like this I would recommend seeing the dentist and hygienist at least every 6 months to monitor the condition of the implants and gums.
