My dental crown can’t be replaced, now what should I do?

June 27th, 2011
Q.
Today one of my front crowns broke off. I had my 4 front teeth crowned 8 years ago. On visiting the dentist I was given the devastating news that the crown could not be replaced. The root appears to be healthy following an xray. My options are to replace with a denture; root canal ; or dental implant. I am in a state of shock and don\’t have a clue what to go for. The dentist would n

ot commit to advising me of the best option in his opinion and stressed that any work would eventually end up with dentures in the future anyway. Please advise , as it is my front tooth and I work in a school I am dreading what I will look like during any of this treatment not to mention any pain. My dentist said he has temporarily cemented the old crown on but needs me to decide asap what treatment I will go for.,
