Hi, my top teeth are a mess! I have a mini denture for 5 missing teeth, I have 2 gold crowns at the back, 2 crowns at the front which keep coming detached from the posts, 1 crown to the left which is working loose, 1 crown to the right which came out completely, and 1 crown at the front which broke off and I swallowed it. My bottom teeth are not much better. I have no teeth at the back, and all of my front teeth need work! HELP! If I were to look at implants to help me feel human again, what costs should I expect? Would I need to win the lottery?

i am a 56 year old female andI have just had my front tooth – crown, post and remaining tooth removed. When will I be able to start work for an implant? The temp plate is badly fitting and uncomfortable and the sooner I am able to start the better. Could you also give me some idea of the costs involved. My other front tooth is also a crown, but to avoid costs I would be happy to have a replacemnt for this.,

I had lost both my first molars many years ago. I recently had two implants placed in the gaps where the teeth had once been. Two implants because the gap had widened over time. There had also been substantial bone loss especially on the right hand side, therefore the implants were ‘shortys’. The (double)crowns placed on these implants are narrower than the teeth on either side, (the premolar and second molar), the crowns do not resemble teeth at all. My dentist has excused this issue by saying that as the imlants were short, the crowns have to be narrower. Can you tell me is there any truth in his explaination. I really am distressing about this. 3 weeks ago I had a crown removed from top/back molars due to an infection. Would I be able to have an implant, if so how soon and roughly what cost?

I have been receiving treatment at a local dental hospital and have had a number of root canal treatments and soon to have some crowns. Sadly I have already lost 5 teeth and probably more. I am very interested in implants but as I am receiving ongoing treatment I am not sure how long to wait to get implants sorted. I am 34 and have never smoked and generally in good health.,

i have a gap where a crown was and cannot be replaced as my tooth in the root has split. now the tooth next to it has broken and i wud like to know wot i can do. p.s. i have a limited budget as i am on incapacity benefit..,

I don\’t understand how an implant is placed. Does the dentist replace the root also? Or does it go directly into the jaw bone? Can the root of the tooth be re-made rather than having to go through bone grafting etc etc?,

Dear Dr Fahey I had a crown fitted roughly a year and a half ago, I am feeling upset because it has come out at least 18 times in that time and has never felt right. My dentist say\’s that the tooth has been filed down too far, which was filled too far down in her practice. I am desparate to get this sorted out, but all the dentist does is put it back until it comes out again. Please could you advise me. Thank you so much. Kind regards. ,
