My aunt is 92, is an implant a good idea?

March 29th, 2011
Q.
My elderly aunt is 92 years of age and has just had a bottom denture (12 teeth) fitted. It does not seem to fit properly and she has very little gum. Is an implant a goos idea. She just wants to be able to enjoy a decent meal.,

Can a teenager get dental implants?

February 2nd, 2011
Q.
I have a 15 year old son who in june 2010 had an accident on his bmx bike resulting in loosing 4 of his major front top teeth and shattering the bone. To cut a long story short he has had 2 temp dentures which kept falling out and will soon be receiving his 3rd which is a metal form which clip on to his back teeth of which i have had to pay £800 for.So my question is why is my 15 year old son not entitled to cosmetic surgery i.e.implants/bonegraft. i would very much appreciate if you could contact me on the above email as i have so much more to say . yours sincerly Mrs Welch.,

After shattering her teeth my daughter was given a plate but dislikes it. Can she not have anything else until her teeth stop developing?

November 19th, 2010
Q.
My 12 year daughter shattered her front tooth in a bike accident in july. The nerve was removed and a small piece of the tooth remains. She has been given a plate by the dental hospital but it is very uncomfortable for her not to mention really obvious. They have advised that she cant have anything permanent untill she stops growing. Is there really nothing that can be done? She is becoming a teenager and I worry it will affect her confidence. I am willing to pay for private treatment. Please advise, Many thanks.,
