Can you give me the cost of a top and bottom denture?

Q. Dear Doctor Moore, I have contacted you via dentalimplant.co.uk before and you have been kind enough to offer advice and encouraged me to visit you in Chelmsford (I live in Essex) I have been trying to save for some treatment. However, although I originally wanted traditional dental implants, i\’ve been trying to save since my last year at school, but unfortunately, now 22, I\’m dreaming if I think I\’ll ever be able to afford traditional implants. I have previously asked you of alternatives and you have explained that it may be possible for a combination of bridges and crowns to be used. But to be honest, it has been a few years since I decided to lower my expectation and, I can\’t even save enough money for these treatments. I have now lost my job which was only 2 hours cleaning in a school in the morning which was originally going to pay for me to go to uni and get my teeth fixed. My gap year has turned into 4-5 and I after I pay rent I\’m just never going to have the money to have any work. I do not want a wonderful \’hollywood\’ smile, I just want to be able to smile without people starring. I have had enough of the state of my teeth as they only seem to be getting worse and worse; even though I brush twice a day and visit my dentist. I have tried to ask my dentist about dentures but he only really seems to humour me when he replies. Although I have all but one of my teeth at the moment. I have had (I think) 6 root canals and more fillings than I remember, so I know my smile will only get worse in the coming years. I was wondering if you could give me any details as to the cost of having a top and bottom denture, possibly fitted my mini implants. Would I have to pay for my teeth to be removed too? If I do, are there any procedures I can take to persuade the teeth to come out on their own to try to cut down on the cost. I imagine they would probably be out of my price range too, as I can only really stretch to around £2,000. Can you recommend any treatments I can get within this budget, because I can\’t carry on the way I am at the minute. My teeth are making me more and more depressed. Im becoming more and more worried that my bad teeth will lead to other health problems too. I\’m not worried any more if I can only have dentures, even without the mini implants, because I just need to get them fixed. I can\’t handle crying and being depressed because people have laughed at me or are making fun behind my back any more. Even if their is a dental school where the cost may be less it would really help me if you could let me know. Thank you for your advice,
,
A. I can\’t really give you any further advice without seeing you and seeing what your problems actually are, without that I can\’t give you any idea of the costs. It maybe that things aren\’t as bad as the might seem and if you only have 1 missing tooth then implants might not be the only solution. You could try The London Hospital dental school as this might be a good solution to your problems Andrew

Is a denture going to give me natural looking teeth?

Q. I am going to have all my teeth removed according to my dentist and then get dental implants and a denture. But I am not sure about the denture part. Is this a good choice for natural looking teeth or are there any other better options?,
A. There are better options than a denture you can have a fixed implant screw retained bridge. A lot more expensive My fees for a full upper fixed implant retained bridge is £13,000.00 this includes the implants. I am happy to offer you a free consultation.

How are dental implants able to help to support dentures?

Q. How are dental implants able to help to support dentures please can you tell me Dr Solanki?,
A. Once the implants are inserted, they have a magnet attached to them, inside your denture a housing is fitting of which clips on to the magnet this then makes your denture very secure.

Are implants worth all of the money in your opinion?

Q. Hi i\’ve had dentures in now since a very young age because i suffered from bad gum disease. I\’ve never had any problems with them until now i had a new set made because my others were falling apart but they won\’t stay in. Do you think this is because of my gums or the fact they haven\’t been made right? i heard mini implants can hold them in place? but is it worth all the money in your opinion? thank you,
A. it is worth it

Do you suggest I have mini implants to hold my dentures in place?

Q. Do you suggest I have mini implants to hold my dentures in place? Will having this treatment also make sure my dentures last longer? What would you recommend? thanks,
A. Proper implants are better IMO, I only use mini implants as a temporary situation.

Should I have all of my teeth removed and replaced with dentures?

Q. I was addicted to methamphetamine for over 15 years. I have been clean for 2 1/2 years. The damage I have done to my teeth is extensive. My teeth are cracking off at the gum line and my front teeth are all cracked in half. I am scared to death to go to the dentist. I am in college and plan on getting a job in the legal field. But, first impressions are everything and to be truthful, I do not even smile anymore. Should I just have them all pulled and get dentures or is there another alternative?,
A. There is other alternatives to dentures. I would really need to take a look before i could advise. If you are nervous we can offer you sedation for your treatment this will relax you throughout the procedure. We may be able to save and treat your teeth so I would advise a consultation appointment as soon as possibe.
