Should I wait until crown fails before getting implant?

December 2nd, 2009
Q.
my dentist said when i had a missing tooth that i could either get a crown or an implant. at the time (about two years ago now) i decided to go with the crown as i could not afford implants. Now i can afford implants but am unsure whether it is best to just wait until the crown needs replacing. It is hoplding up well according to my dentist so what would youa advise?

Dental crown on implant has cracked – what to do?

November 24th, 2009
Q.
I have a dental crown over the dental implant I got a year ago. But for some stupid reason I have managed to crack the crown and I can feel that it is about to fall out any minute. A little bit has already come off and left a sharp edge which my tongue might get caught on. This is making me fearful to eat. I have rang my dentist and made an appointment, the earliest being saturday. Can you offer any advice about what I should do in the mean time?

How much would whole dental implant process cost?

November 19th, 2009
Q.
I have been searching for a general price for the treatment I am in need of but have not been able to find gone anywhere. The treatment I am after is the removal of one tooth, a dental implant and then a crown attached to this, if you could give me a general estimate? Will any other factors affect the price?

Why does the dental implant procedure take quite so long? Is it because of the healing time or some other factor?

Is it possible to change the implant tooth?

November 4th, 2009
Q.
Hello, I had an implant on my 6th, six months ago and the prosthetic tooth was fixed on it about three weeks ago. implant went very well.two questions 1-Is it possible to change the tooth on the implant after it’s been fixed? mine seems too short. my dentist had to shave teeth on the same side of it too much that now I can feel a gap between them when I close my mouth and pressure on my 3rds and 4ths teeth which is driving me crazy. 2-Will I be able to chew with the prosthetic tooth on the implant without any pain? because I can’t chew crunchy or alittle harder food, like apples!Nuts? don’t even think about it!
