Is replacing of gold bat from lower implant denture necessary?

September 24th, 2010
Q.
Hello Dr Fahey, My dentist wants to remove the gold bar from my lowere implant supported denture and replace with a more up-to-date stud type of support. I have on ly 2 implants in the lower jaw and wonder if my denture will feel secure enough with this new method. Also can you tell me if it is alright to sleep wearing implant supported dentures.

Does age have any effect on being able to get dental implants?

August 27th, 2010
Q.
I am in my early 70s but would like to get dental implants. My upper teeth are fine but I only have 9 lower teeth remaining in a good condition and would need to get the rest removed beforehand. Would it be advisable to get a partial or complete denture in my case? Also, age will not make a difference, will it?

How can dental implants help to secure dentures?

August 27th, 2010
Q.
I have had my dentures for a short while now but they never feel like they are securely fitted. I have read that dental implants may be able to help them be more sturdy. I was hoping you could tell me how this is possible? Thank you.
