My Partial Denture is Uncomfortable. Would Dental Implants Be a Better Solution for Me?

April 11th, 2015
Q.

Hello, I’d like some advice. I’m 57 and due to gum disease I’ve lost a number of teeth around my mouth over the last couple of years. Two teeth at the front have been lost and another at the front is very loose, so it’s only a matter of time before that comes out too. I do wear a partial denture but find it very uncomfortable and I also find it difficult to eat because the denture makes the food taste strange. Could dental implants be a better solution for me, and how much approximately would they cost for my situation?

December 17th, 2011
Q.
Hello, my problem is that when i was younger I had periodontitis affecting my front two bottom incisors. Consequently the bone eroded away and has left me with two very loose teeth with little or no gum surrounding or supporting them. Is there any way to fix the problem?? Why has thw bone not regrown over the years?,

Is it true what my dentist said? Or is she just trying to make me spend money on an implant?

April 21st, 2011
Q.
2 Years ago I had a tooth pulled out as it broke. The tooth above it is now hanging down lower than the other teeth. My dentists said that it will fall out as it has no tooth to rest on. When it falls out the teeth either side will start leaning to one side then I will loose them too. She wants me to have an implant. Is this true or is she just wantis me to spend money on an implant? Thanks.,
A.

The treatment seems very costly, is this the best treatment for me?

January 23rd, 2011
Q.
Hi, please can i ask for your advise, I had a fall several years ago, & my front tooth died so i had route canal & vaneer fitted however the tooth is now coming lose so my dentist has advised that i have a implant costing in total with bone graffting around £3000. He said it would take around 8 months in total to complete as the longer we leave my gum to heal the better the results. However he called me today to say that i should go to see a specialist dentist who could do the work in one go but the consultation is £95.00 i m a little confussed now. Is this just a way to get more money from me or is this the best option for me?,
