What sedation is available for the implant procedure?

Q. I am in no way a fan of the dentist, and would go as far to say that I have a phobia. It took me a long time to admit such a thing to myself but I can not deny it. However, I don’t wnat o lose my nice smile. I am okay with routine check ups, but when it gets to soemthing major I run away scared. My dentist has now told me that I need dental implants. I feel too scared to do this, but have heard about some sedation techniques. Could you offer me any advice on this, please?
A. Hi, It is very common to have sedation for dental implants as although treatment is very straightforward, there is some surgery involved. We offer either intra-venous sedation for very nervous patients or oral sedation for patients who just need to relax a litle bit more during the procedure. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Regards, Andrew
