Q. I am going to need to get a dental implant for my front tooth. I am concerned about whether it will hold up as I grind my teeth when I sleep. I wear a mouth guard so it should be okay, but was hoping that you would be able to tell me whether it is okay to have an implant when you suffer from this?
A. It really depends on the extent of the grinding habit. This can only be seen by examination. Of course, a mouthguard helps in protecting your teeth
