Can Fibrmyalgia cause discomfort when wearing a denture?

Q. My sister has been undergoing dental treatment and has had a denture (NHS) which has never fitted correctly, she has recently had more teeth added to it, but is tols she cannot have “clips” either side on the NHS, is this correct? the dentist has however put a clip on one side. She is in great discomfort, and has been for a long while, do you think that the fact she has fibromyalgia could affect the pain caused by the denture? your opinion would be much appreciated, Thanks,
A. fibromyalgia can definitely affect the comfort of denture wearings and can cause discomfort generally. If she has had teeth added to the denture the chances are she will need a new denture in the near future perhaps with clips to hold it in place
