Can I Get A Dental Implant At The Age Of 17?

Q.
I wore braces for almost 3 years. I was told that one of my teeth will never form into an adult tooth meaning that I will have a gap. My dentist has partly filled the gap by essentially making the tooth next to the gap bigger because at the time they said I was too young for an implant. I am now 17 and would really like to know whether or not I would be able to get an implant in your opinion as the gap really affects my confidence, so I would love to get it sorted.

Hi there, thanks for your question. It is hard to say without seeing you. However, if the gap has been filled by just adding tooth-coloured filling material to an adjacent tooth, then maybe not. You need to see someone really and get an opinion from them. Hope this helps.
