Can my child get dental implants on the NHS to replace submerging teeth?

Q. Hello Dr Andrew Moore. My son is ten years old and has six permanent teeth that are missing and that will  not erupt. Soon he is going to have ten primary teeth removed as some are now submerging. He is under a restorititive and orthadontist consultant at the National Health Servicve. They have not been forthcoming on the future treatment and what may eventually happen at this stage of time. Is there a chance that he could have implants as he has an incisor and a canine missing within the six missing. What is the situation on dental implants and the NHS? Do the NHS perform implants on children due to cost and age? Thank you for your time.,
A. Hello and thank your for your enquiry. It is unlikely that implants can be carried out on the NHs however the situation migh eventually change as he can’t have implants until he stops growing age 19-20. I hope that is of assistance to you.
