Can you please offer your advice to ease my dental implant treatment concerns?

Q. after a bad experience with a bone graft and being numb for over a month, I’m now having second thoughts about getting a implant. My appt is in two weeks, so I need advice asap. With 5 children, I am not sure if it’s worth the risk I’ve been reading about. I was in pain from a failed root canal for many years, and I don’t wanna go back to that. seems too many things can go wrong, infection etc….I’m still young and pretty, and I’ve lost my main chewing lower right molar. what else can I do. I’ve been worried sick and loosing sleep. please help me to decide. not sure if it makes a difference but my brother has 2 implants that are fine, and my sisters bottom molars are fine that she has had for over 15 yrs. but she has had a nightmare with her upper implants. didn’t know if family accepts implants the same way? thank you,
A. Hi I would recommend you speak to your surgeon about your concerns as he would know your history but also he would have the xrays in front of him. The most important thing is that you select a surgeon who is experienced enough to place implants.
