could you explain to me the difference between implants and mini implants? I am needing a new tooth but hate the thought of having to wait ages as i hear you do with the normal implants.

You don’t need to wait longer for normal implants. Some dentists only do mini implants and in my opinion they don’t have the long term track record of conventional implants. Perhaps you should seek a 2nd opinion from another implant dentist if your current dentist only offers mini.
