Q. Is a dental crown a good alternative to dental implant? My dentist said I could have both but I can not afford dental implants at the moment. I would like to get them in the future though.
A. hi many thanks for your email, if a tooth can be saved it is usually crowned, if the tooth is not savable then the tooth will need to be extracted and an option to replace the tooth would be a dental implant. if the existing tooth can be saved then my advice would be to have the tooth crowned and think about the implant in the future.
