Do dental implants have any effect on speech?

Q. I know that braces can affect a person’s speech, well at first anyway. Is there the chance that a dental implant will also have an effect on speech for the time early on?
A. No, not in the singular. Multiple implants in the upper jaw can sometimes temporarily effect peoples speech, but this is unusual. My advice in that situation is to read the paper aloud for 20 mins every day until you speech becomes more natural.
