Ho long before the implant procedure has to be repeated?

Q. With 2 consecutive missing teeth, one of which is my front tooth, if i had the \’screwed in\’ implants and they were a success ie not immediate failure…how long do these last before the whole process needs to be repeated ?,
A. Thanks for your question. There\’s not definite lifespan for dental restorations and implants. With good care and maintenence the dental implants should last a lifetime. The crown or bridge may need to be replaced in 15 years or so but this depends if anything changes in the mouth and everyone is different. There are many people in the world who have had dental implants, crowns and bridges for many many more years without having to have any replacement work done. Regards George Glover BDS MSc
