Q. My dentist has told me I can either get a crown or an implant which would need a crown as well obviously. Nowm, other than the price how long they last is also going to sway my decision. How long can I expect the implant to last? What about the crown for on its own and if I do get a implant? If you know what I mean.,
A. Hi. Sorry it\’s difficult to answer your question without knowing the previous dental history of the tooth. Your dentist should be able to give you an indication of lifespan for both treatments, but both are generally considered to be successful and can last many years, provided that they are properly cared for and maintained.
