I had an implant in 2007 and dentist has told me I will need to pay more money for a bone graft. This can’t be?!

Q. I had an Implant on a front canine tooth in 2007, I dicovered a small lump had appeared on my gum and went to see my dentist who told me that there is a possibility of some bone loss and having originally spent £1,600….would probably have to fork out another £1,500 for a bone graft….I\’m horrified, I was led to believe that this would last much longer than this, do I have any recourse regarding the original procedure?,
A. Probably not, all estimates at the time scales for implants are just that. It depends on how the body reacts, your general health and the way the implant is looked after by the patient. Perhaps it might not be as bad as he thinks so see what the definitive plan and the relative costs
