Q. Hi I just had 2 upper implants inserted yesterday and luckily for me I have very good bone and have had no pain whatsoever. Im a light smoker usually 1-5 per day and I was wondering when can I at least have 1 cigarette. I know its a filthy habit but i need 1 so badly. Thanks,
A. I tell my patients they are free to smoke against my advice, however if there are problems, then they will pay for any subsequent work required. On a personal level if you can keep below 5 cigs a day then you are less likely to have a problem
