I Have A Broken Tooth. Do I Need An Implant Or A Plate?

Q.
I have one broken tooth in the front of my lower jaw, and my dentist has advised me to have an implant. As I have only one tooth to replace, is this something you would advise or would a plate be more suitable? I would like to add that I am 71 years old and a plate would be around £250 rather than £2000 for the single tooth implant. I am not sure what else to tell you about my problem and trust that the information I have given is sufficient for you to advise.
Thanks in advance, Gordon Pettitt.

Thank you for your question, Gordon. A plate would work but it might be uncomfortable to wear and will make the rest of the teeth more difficult to clean, so it is worth thinking about the single tooth implant. – Dr. Moore.
