I’m worried about my age affecting the chances of a successful dental implant, what would you recommend?

Q. what would you recommend for an older patient of 72? i have partial dentures but they irritate me and was considering dental implants but worried about any risks, especially at my age! What would you recommend for me?,
A. Thanks for your question. There\’s no age limit on dental implant treatment. Provided you are fit and healthy and your oral health is appropriate then implants may be an option for you. You would need to have a consult with a dentist to ascertain your suitability for the treatment. You would then be given the options available to you along with costs so that you may make an informed decision about how you wish to proceed. Take a look at the find a dentist section of this site to see if there is a practice near to you. Regards George Glover BDS MSc
