Is an implant having to hold two crowns a bad idea due to stability?

Q. Hello. I had 2 implant placed last week to hold 2 crowns on each. I\’m still waiting for them to heal but a bit weary, I\’ve just been informed that an implant to hold 2 crowns isn\’t really a good idea because there isn\’t enough stability. What should I do?,
A. It really depends on where in the mouth the treatment has been carried out and the size and type of implants used. It\’s not always necessary to place an implant for every tooth being replaced. If you still have concerns have a chat to the dentist who carried out your treatment and I\’m sure they will be able to put your mind at ease. Regards George Glover BDS MSc
