Is bone grafint always necessary for implants?

Q. Is bone grafting necessarry for all dental implant patients or is it just something necessarry for a select few? Something to do with bone or something isn’t it?
A. Hi.
Thanks for your question.
Bone grafting is not necessary for every client undergoing dental implant treatment.
It is related to the amount of bone available for implant placement.
Your dentist as part of the assessment will normally take some x-rays to determine bone levels.  In some cases a CT scan may be used to give a 3D view of the available bone.

Many Thanks.
