Is it normal that my gums are bleeding and painful following implant failure?

Q. my dental implants have failed unfortunately i had a full set placed in my upper mouth. I\’m experiencing a lot of pain now and im worried my gums are infected, they\’re bleeding and very painful is this normal if the implants fail? i\’m due to see my dentist, just wondering what you thought?,
A. Generally you shouldn\’t normally have pain or bleeding gums and this can be a sign of infection. There can be various reasons for implants failing and these would normally be removed to prevent any infection. If you have concerns regarding your ongoing treatment you should discuss these with your dentist. Regards George Glover
