Q. Hello Dr Moore. I thank you for taking time to consider my enquiry. I was reffered to a periodontist by my dentist as I told that I have quit a bit of bone loss. During my consultation I was told that for being 30 years old 30% bone loss is bad also considering I have short roots, I am at loss for losing my teeth prematurely. I was told I will need to have a bone graft placed as well as some proteins that will help in regeneration. Are there any other alternatives that are not as invasive and costly but that have similar results? Thank you for your time.,
A. Hello and thanks for your enquiry. It’s hard for me to tell but it does sound quite severe for your age, it might be possible to use an alternative technique such as all on 4 if your teeth all need to be removed.
