My bone graft failed, what can I do now?

Q. My bone grafting surgery i needed has failed! my mouth is all swollen and my face is a mess. What are my options now? i had his surgery so i could have dental implants but it doesn\’t look like i can now. I have a severe infection and gum disease is still apparent. what can i do? please help!,
A. Hi. Sorry to hear that your bone graft has been unsuccesful. You need to discuss the situation with your dentist and come up with a plan going forward. If you have an infection and gum disease then this really should be taken care of first before proceeding any further with dental implant treatment. You may need to see a dental hygienist or a periodontologist to treat the gum disease. Regards. George Glover
