HI Dr I had an implant placed in my lower jaw a month ago. Soon after a couple of weeks i noticed a painless gum boil in that area which has recently healed itself without treatment. But now i can see the implant has exposed itself through the gum ,this is also painless and with no obvious swelling. I am a bit concerned, can you advise on what you think could be going on here? I don’t want to get in touch with my own dentist just yet as he is abroad.

It could be nothing or it could be a problem, I would suggest you see your dentist or one of their colleagues ASAP.
