I am confused about my dentists advice, can you help?

December 2nd, 2011
Q.
After the removal of my UR back molar due to bone loss I had to have root canal on the next UR molar which now has to be extracted as it cracked across. They advised I would need sinus lift and bone graft before an implant could replace the tooth. My dentist is advising I don’t need a sinus lift but would extract then do a bone graft at same time as first stage implantation. Is this a secure way to go or should I have 1st stage implant after the bone graft has healed? Thanks for your advice – I’m confused!,

December 2nd, 2011
Q.
My husband has no teeth and wears both upper & lower dentures. He has no problem with upper denture but suffers severe discomfort with lower denture and is considering implants on lower gum, does one implant only support one tooth or can each implant support several teeth?,

cost process dental implants

December 2nd, 2011
Q.
I fell off my bike whilst doing some downhill mountain biking at the weekend and knocked out two teeth. I haven’t head anything done yet or even been to the dentist. I have heard that dental implants are the best solution, I do have some savings so should probably be able to afford them if they are not too expensive. could you give me some idea of the cost and the process, i.e. how long it takes, how many appointments etc. cheers,

Dental bridge dental implants

December 2nd, 2011
Q.
At the moment my front six upper teeth consist of a three-tooth bridge (which is 23yrs old) and three teeth on a partial denture, which also contains three other teeth which are missing from the back of my mouth, two on one side, one on the other.(I have had the denture for three years, after the three tooth bridge I had to match the present bridge sheared off and couldn’t be replaced.) I have recently inherited some money, and would like to have all those nine teeth replaced by implants. Is this possible?,

bone growth dental implants

December 2nd, 2011
Q.
Over the last year I had the UR back molar removed due to bone loss and the second UR was successfully root canaled but then cracked across so I need to have it removed and an implant placed. My dentist wants to remove and do a bone graft simultaneous with the implant pin and then leave for 5-6mths for the bone to grow. She says this is safe and has done it before although I understand from this site that bone graft is normally done before inserting the implant pin. I was advised that I would need a sinus lift & a bone graft – my dentist doesn’t think the sinus lift is necessary as I have not had the tooth removed yet. Very confused want to do the right thing – what do you advise?,
